  • Congenital Heart Defects: These are the one or more problems a child has since birth during anomalies in heart like Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), ventricular septal defect (VSD), Atrial septal defect (ASD), Atrioventricular canal and other anomalies.
  • Atrial septal defect (ASD): A condition of a child heart having a hole in the heart that separates the heart’s two upper chambers causing irregular blood flow. Open heart surgery is required to treat this congenital heart condition.
  • Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD): It's an abnormality in the blood circulation due to the hole in the wall, however most holes close on their own with time, but some needed surgery. VSD requires regular health checkups, medications and in severe cases surgery might also require.
  • Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA): Irregular blood flow due to birth defects in heart required continuous medical treatment and in few cases open heart surgery.
  • Coarctation of Aorta: A common defect that occurs in 6 to 8% of patients which is a narrowing of the aorta preventing the blood flow to the lower body.

  • Cardiac Catheterization: It’s a procedure where a small incision is made in an artery or vein of the arm, neck or groin to insert a catheter into the heart chamber or vessel. It is used both to diagnose heart problems, blood clots in arteries or other disorders.
  • Balloon Angioplasty: It’s a procedure where a specially designed catheter with a small balloon is inserted to the artery to open the narrowed or blocked arteries.
  • Cardiac MRI: It’s a test to identify the heart conditions through radioactive waves to take clear pictures of the heart and arteries.
